Faith to Faith

Our Faith to Faith project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.  The project celebrated Trinity’s 45 year history of bringing people together through interfaith dialogue. The stories of first-generation immigrants, many of which have been left untold, were recorded to give a unique perspective on their experiences and the role of faith in helping them establish their lives in Newham.

Trinity delivered this project with its partner, Eastside Community Heritage.  Together they recruited volunteers interested in oral history and reminiscence. As well as the recording of people’s voices, there was also a photography exhibition, a booklet and a website. Volunteers were trained to record the memories of first-generation immigrants, they  also learnt how to research and archive information.
