Earlier this month, we held a celebratory event to mark 80 years since VE Day (the end of World World II). We marked the occasion with a day-long party, stopping at 1pm to observe a minutes’ silence for those we lost. A booklet with stories of local people was shared with all those who attended and we also had displays around the Centre, sharing their stories.
