We are proud to share our latest partnership with the Newham Community Law Project (NCLP).
Launched at Trinity on 14th May 2026, the NCLP has been founded by volunteers, legal professionals, and community groups to increase free access to high-quality, specialist legal advice and representation for Newham residents.

Newham is one of the most legally under-served boroughs in London, despite having one of the highest levels of socio-economic deprivation. Recent research shows that Newham has a large population of migrants, renters, people on low incomes, and people in precarious work conditions. Many of those who attend Sir Stephen Timms MP's surgeries, or access our other services at Trinity, come with legal advice queries. While we do our best to support everyone, current providers in the borough are at capacity, with many saying that they struggle to meet demand.
We're excited and proud to partner with NCLP to address the needs of our community. The launch event was a success, with passionate speeches from Sir Stephen Timms MP, James Asser MP and guest speakers including NCLP Chair Janani Paramsothy Julie Bishop from the Law Centres Network.

Starting with immigration law, the NCLP hopes to expand into housing and other areas of high need, eventually becoming an all-encompassing law centre for the people of Newham.
We are delighted that NCLP has picked the Trinity Centre as its office premises, and will be rooted in the community alongside all our other partnership services.
